- The US and Israel sent delegations to Qatar for ceasefire talks that resumed today while Hamas has told mediators it is willing to meet after the discussions to determine if there is a serious response from Israel to truce proposals.

- Israeli military aircraft hit Hamad City as artillery blasted residential buildings in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip after dozens killed in attacks across the Palestinian territory over previous 24 hours.
- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told Turkey’s parliament that he plans to visit the besieged Gaza Strip despite the risks involved.
- At least 40,005 people have been killed and 92,401 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 and more than 200 were taken captive.
